  1. Age-Appropriate Learning: Our program is tailored to the developmental stages of 1st through 4th graders. We understand the importance of age-appropriate learning experiences to ensure your child's growth both on and off the court.

  2. Character Building: Elevate Sports goes beyond teaching basketball skills; we emphasize character development. Through team activities, positive reinforcement, and mentorship, we aim to instill important values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

  3. Confidence Boosting: We believe that sports can be a powerful tool for building self-confidence. Our coaches are dedicated to providing a supportive environment where each child can discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and gain confidence in their abilities.

  4. Faith-Informed Setting: Elevate Sports is proud to provide a faith-informed setting. While respecting the diversity of beliefs among our participants, we integrate values such as kindness, respect, and compassion, creating an environment that promotes personal and spiritual growth.

What to Expect

  • Skill Development: Our coaches focus on teaching fundamental basketball skills through age-appropriate drills and activities.

  • Team Building: Children will have the opportunity to work collaboratively in a team setting, learning the importance of communication, cooperation, and supporting one another.

  • Fun and Inclusive Atmosphere: Elevate Sports is not just about competition; it's about enjoying the game of basketball in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

We are committed to making Elevate Sports accessible to every child. To ensure inclusivity, there is a minimal cost for sign-up. This fee covers the expenses associated with the program, including equipment and facility usage. However, we believe that no child should be excluded from the joy of sports due to financial constraints.

If you require financial assistance or have concerns about the cost, please reach out to us elevate@mcchurch.org. We have scholarship opportunities available to help make this experience possible for everyone.

The Elevate Sports is a community program hosted by Montecito Covenant Church designed specifically for 1st - 5th grade children. At Elevate Sports, we believe in more than just playing the game – we focus on fostering confidence and character in a faith-informed setting

Character Driven

We believe that the content of a person’s character is just as important as their performance on the court. Coaching and growth are aimed equally at developing player’s athletic skill and character. Each week, a different character attribute serves as a theme, and families are encouraged to discuss the weekly themes with their players. The attributes we explore can be found below.
